Hello everyone and welcome to our website!
My name is Scott and I am originally from the small town of Batesville, Indiana. I went to Batesville High School where I enjoyed playing football and wrestling. I held a position as captain in both sports and earned numerous awards including All Conference and Academic All-Sate in football and Most Valuable Wrestler and Academic All-State in wrestling. I was also selected to attend the Kiwanis Student Leadership Academy as a junior. I was an active member of the FFA where I participated in land conservation and management, forestry, and livestock judging.
After graduating, I went to DePauw University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology. I also played football for the Tigers at right offensive guard (in pic above). As a freshman I joined Delta Tau Delta fraternity where I served as the house manager my Sophomore and Junior years. My senior year I moved out of the Delt shelter and lived in a duplex with 5 of my friends. What an experience!
After graduating in May 2006 I took a job at Hargrave Military Academy. I moved to Danville, Virginia, which is located about 20 minutes north of Chatham. At Hargrave I teach Biology and Environmental Science. I am the greenhouse manager for the science department. I am also the head JV Football coach and the line coach for Varsity Football. To stay busy in the winter I took a job as the assistant Varsity Wrestling coach.
Besides teaching and coaching at Hargrave, I am currently working on a Master of Life Science degree through the University of Maryland. In my free time I enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors. I have a passion for cars and currently own a Competition Orange 2004 Mustang GT with a long list of mods. I have aspirations to move back to Indiana and buy a house and large piece of land in the near future.
